World Animal Day

October 3rd is World Animal Day. CMU will take part by having an exhibition at the Art Centre - Nimmanhemin Rd., 9am-4pm
with various NGO's participating who care for mainly dogs, but also cats and some elephant foundations. All are concerned about ANIMAL WELFARE for those particular animals.

ONE VOICE FOR ANIMALS Campaign is to drive attention to the fact that there are no laws to protect animal rights in Thailand and that it is neccessary for all of us who love animals and are concerned about what happens to them to join hands to gain the power we need - 50,000 signatures gets one seat in parliament and can close the International Standard Animal Welfare Law in Thailand.

Love Animal House has cared for hundreds of abused wildlife and farm animals over the past 19 years and see a great need for education of the public and enforcement of laws to protect animals. Neglect, exploitation, physical abuse and torture is not something which we should blindly allow to happen in our communities. Such energies create a lot of suffering and robs us of our happiness.
ANIMAL WELFARE MEANS HUMAN WELFARE.

People who have pets and care for them with love and understanding live much healthier happier lives. Having pets is very therapeutic and releases all our stress, that is if you care for them properly. If you don't you cause a lot of problems for them and yourself. Love is the most important ingredient of all. With love everything is possible.

I have now collected 300 members signature by hand.
World Animal Day we will go OnLine to collect the 50,000 people we need for the big picture.
Instead of a badge we will give a book download:

Many people want the elephants begging on the streets to go back to nature.
On World Animal Day we will have a meeting about how to do this in Chiang Mai
and then approach the authorities to assist with this as quickly as possible.

HAVE A WONDERFUL & HAPPY DAY - hug your pets often -

Bear Hugs Marianne
